I remember getting those Mego Pocket Super Heroes for my birthday of 1979, Out of all the sets, my favourite was of course Hulk. As a kid he was my favourite super hero.
Finding this at the flea market was amazing. It was like I went back through a time machine over 30 years ago.
Mego released Pocket Super Heroes in two series in 1979 and 1980 as an updated straight-legged version of Mego's previous 3¾-inch Comic Action Heroes line. The figures were based solely on Marvel and DC comics, although Mego did make obvious efforts to cater to audiences of the first two Superman movies.
The first series consisted of Batman, Hulk, Jor-El, Lex Luthor, Robin, Spider-Man, Superman, and Zod. The second series added Aquaman, Captain America, Green Goblin, and Wonder Woman.
Also 30 years ago today the best selling and most amazing computer of all time was released, the Commodore 64. I remember when we got ours, great times!
My Hulk finally fell apart in 86.....As a kid I had no idea what superglue was....So...Dad and I buried Hulk in the backyard.
