Flea Market Hunting : Lego Power Miners + S.H. MonsterArts Biollante Figure

It was a beautiful day so we wen to the flea market... it ended up being one of our best flea market hunting ever!

First we got this very cool Lego Power Miners set. Its one of the few from this series that we were missing. Its also one of my personal favourite Lego series.

Look at this! The largest Godzilla figure from Tamashii Nations to date, the massive Biollante joins the incredibly detailed S.H. MonsterArts line! Highly requested through consumer feedback, Biollante has finally been approved for release after extensive testing to maintain the quality fans have come to expect in the line.

To further insure authenticity, the original creator, Fuyuki Shinada, of the Biollante model used in the “Godzilla vs. Biollante” movie was brought on board to personally plan, sculpt, and approve this piece to create the most accurate articulated Biollante figure ever.  Replicating her pulsating core just like the film, the chest area features a special light-up gimmick and light color can be changed via control switch.  S.H.MonsterArts Biollante’s meticulous sculpt detail, massive proportion and thorough articulation at every neck joint allow for realistic portrayal of scenes from the movie. At an astounding 12″, Biollante dwarfs even the mighty King Ghidorah, making her the largest foe Godzilla will ever tangle with.

Lego Star Wars Death Star Part 5 + Super 7′s Alien ReAction SDCC Exclusives

Our Lego Death Star is shaping up to be amazing! The room of the Emperor is completed so is the cannon which is capable of destroying a planet with a single destructive energy beam.

In the original Star Wars film, the first Death Star is depicted in various sources of having a crew of 265,675, as well as 52,276 gunners, 607,360 troops, 30,984 stormtroopers, 42,782 ship support staff, and 180,216 pilots and support crew.[6] Its hangars contain assault shuttles, blastboats, Strike cruisers, land vehicles, support ships, and 7,293 TIE fighters. It is also protected by 10,000 turbolaser batteries, 2,600 ion cannons, and at least 768 tractor beam projectors!

Alien!

At last year’s SDCC, Super 7 announced plans to produce the ‘lost’ Alien 3 3/4″ figures, new vintage-like figures based on the original 1979 prototypes. The 5 figures that are included in this line are:

The Alien (“Big Chap”) – with removable transparent dome, extendable jaws and glow-in-the-dark head
Ripley – with Flame Thrower
Ash – with Motion Detector
Dallas  – with Flame Thrower
Kane in Nostromo spacesuit – with removable helmet and transparent visor

At this year’s show Super 7 has 4 exclusives supporting their Alien ReAction line, and the best part is that two of them are free.

Isaac decided to play with his Lego Star Wars. A war was going on between Tatooine and Hoth. Basically, the Rebels from Hoth were fighting the Jabba the Hutt clan.

Oh! And Darth Maul was in the mix too!

Our DC Universe collection

Isaac and I loved the Batman the Brave and the Bold animated TV series. Awesome three seasons. When Happy Meal based on the series were announced, we ate too much McDonald's to get as much as possible. Our collection is not complete but we own most of them.

Our DC Universe collection

Here's some nice DC Universe action figures. These are part of the Infinite Heroes Crisis series released sometime ago. Scarecrow is especially scary! Lots of awesome figures were released as part of this series. Sadly they were rather hard to find around here.

Our DC Universe collection

A few months back, we presented to you all of our Marvel Universe action figures. Now it is time for our DC Universe action figures.

First is the Happy Meal Lego Batman figures released years ago. Back then Isaac was way too small so these we got used at the flea market. They are cool figures but sadly too big to fit with real Lego minifigures and too small to work with the usual 3.75" action figures.

M.A.S.K. & Battle Force 5

We love M.A.S.K. (which is an acronym for the Mobile Armored Strike Kommand), was a hybrid of popular era cartoons G.I. Joe and The Transformers. We own a couples of cool vehicles and figures from that series. And we love Battle Force 5 from Hot Wheels, which were extremely similar to the Kenner series.

Here's Isaac and I playing with them. Along with the intro themes for both series.

Lego Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out + SDCC 2013: Marvel Deadpool

A short but rather funny Lego Star Wars film that finally came out on DVD and Blu-ray.

The heroes of the Rebel Alliance including heroic Luke Skywalker, swaggering Han Solo and steadfast Princess Leia have no time to celebrate their victory over the Empire as a new Imperial threat arises. But as Jedi-in-training Luke embarks on this next mission, he discovers that his celebrity status as a “Death-Star-Blower-Upper” can be a double-edged lightsaber when he’s constantly mobbed by crazed fans. So much for secret missions! Meanwhile, Darth Vader and Darth Maul are locked in a hilarious “Sith-ling” rivalry as they compete for the Emperor’s approval.

It came with a special Darth Vader minifigure!

Wow! Look at this amazing San Diego Comic-Con exclusive set of Marvel Universe Deadpool!!
