Another action figure we got at the Legends store is the awesome Ralph McQuarrie Stormtrooper. My son and I love the Stormtrooper, especially the original design from the 1977 film. The figure comes with a gun, shield and a lightsaber! Now just how crazy cool is that! A Stormtrooper with a lightsaber!

Born June 13, 1929, McQuarrie is responsible for creating the look and feel of the original trilogy (lots of unused concept also ended up in the newer trilogy) based on George Lucas' notes. The look of the Stormtrooper was actually created in 1975. Below you can see the amazing painting he did back then.

My son loves his new Stormtrooper! I plan on getting all of the Ralph McQuarrie based action figures!
