My son loves Batman. He also thinks that Bane is one of the coolest villains. While the character was terribly portrayed on the big screen in the Batman & Robin film, I too think he's one of the coolest.
At the flea market I found the 5" version of Bane from the Batman The Animated Series released by Kenner in 1994. The figure comes in a "Venom" tube and a body-slam arm action that is activated from his back.
A boy and dad passion for action figures.

Flea Market Hunting: Marvel
Like most little boys, my son loves superheroes. I'd say he's more into Marvel then DC. We own lots of Marvel figures but one that was missing is Juggernaut. I finally find one used, the vintage 1991 version released by Toy Biz. The original collection had 9 figures.
The figure looks pretty basic and the sculpt isn't that nice but it is still cool. It has a lever on its back to deliver a power punch action.

Flea Market Hunting: Star Wars
Another great collection released years ago by Playskool was the Star Wars Jedi Force. Not that many figures were released but most of them are actually impossible to find or either go for extremely high on Ebay.
We already own C3-PO, R2-D2, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader and Yoda. All of them are nicely sculpted and designed. They all feature some very out of this world cartoon looks which makes them way too cool. Last weekend at the flea market I found Anakin! He didn't have his lightsaber but the figure is in good condition. Apart from the multiple variants of some characters we almost have them all now!

Flea Market Hunting: Spider-man & Friends
Last weekend I decided to go to the flea market all by myself. My son was with his mother and I had a few hours to spare. In the end it was worth it since I got him some very cool figures.
The very first superhero my son got into was Spider-Man. A few years ago Playskool released some amazing Spider-Man and Friends collection. Back then I got the Spider-Man figure (without even knowing that one day I will have a son). Last year at the flea market we got a cool Hulk figure. And now I finally found a new one!
Lizard is probably one of the coolest looking figure of the Spider-Man and Friends collection. On Ebay it goes for ridiculously high. This is another collection that was quickly sold out by collectors when it was meant for preschoolers to play with. Hopefully we will be able to find more soon.

Lego Star Wars
As you might have noticed last week was pretty much dedicated to all of the new Lego Star Wars sets we got online. We've been enjoying them ever since then and we do plan on getting more.
My only disappointment is that the older sets are either extremely hard to find or way too expensive. Lego Star Wars have become collector's items. But at our home nothing stay in the box. Every toy is opened and played... isn't what it is all about? Here's a quick look at all 19 Lego Star Wars figures we now own!
My son has recently completed the Lego Star Wars video game on the Nintendo DS. He is now going through the Nintendo Wii version, which is a lot bigger and actually tougher. Isaac is a young three years and a half old Padawan in training and I love him so much.

Lego Star Wars
The last Lego Star Wars set we got last week is from the Attack of the Clones film, it is the Tusken Raider Encounter (#7113). Complete and with the instruction manual, the set contains 90 pieces and comes with two Tusken Raider and Anakin Skywalker. The speederbike is nice and there is some kind of energy reactor that are common on Tatooine. Overall a cool set.

Lego Star Wars
Another set we got is the Ewok Attack (#7139) based on Return of the Jedi. Released in 2002, the complete set had 119 pieces. Unfortunately, this one was far from complete but we got it for only $3 so it was still worth it. We are missing the Biker Scout Trooper, Stormtrooper, Speederbike and hang glider.
Still like every kids, my son loves the Ewok and the catapult is very cool and useful when they are attacked by the Empire.

Lego Star Wars
Another set we got is the Lego Star Wars Imperial AT-ST (#7127). Released in 2001, it has 107 pieces and comes with a Chewbacca figure. The set is complete and with the instruction manual.
My son and I simply adore Chewie, he is one of the coolest character in all the Star Wars universe. So we had to get this one, plus Isaac is a big fan of the AT-ST, he already owns the version for 3 3/4" figures. Slowly our Lego collection is building itself nicely.

Lego Star Wars
My son and I both love the cantina scene in Star Wars Episode I A New Hope. We were extremely excited to get it as Lego. Beside missing the Imperial Sandtrooper, the Mos Eisley Cantina Lego set (#4501) is complete and in very good condition.
We got the Luke Skywalker, Ben Kenobi, Han Solo and Greedy figures along with a Dewback and the section of the cantina where Han meets Greedo. The complete set had 193 pices and was released in 2004.

Lego Star Wars
One of the Lego Star Wars set we got was the Imperial Shuttle (#7166). Released in 2001, the set has 234 pieces, comes with four figures but we got five. Originally the Emperor, two Royal Guards and a Imperial pilot came with it but we got a very cool Darth Vader as a bonus!
The shuttle is rather big, as an opening window in the front, a loading bay for characters in the back and the wings actually move. Its crazy to know that when it came out this set was selling for $35 US but now goes for around $140 on Ebay! Lucky for us, we got it for only $20 (and it is complete along with the manual).
