Zack Snyder released another tour-de-force. Technically breathtaking and a geek orgasm dream come true the film follows the dreams (or is it reality) of Babydoll (the delicious Emily Browning), who has been locked away against her will.
She joins force with four other young girls-the reluctant Sweet Pea (Abbie Cornish), the outspoken Rocket (Jena Malone), the street-smart Blondie (Vanessa Hudgens) and the fiercely loyal Amber (Jamie Chung)-to band together and try to escape a terrible fate at the hands of their captors.
The girls (who happen to wear very little clothes) engage in fantastical warfare against everything from samurais to nazi zombies, orcs and dragons with a crazy virtual arsenal at their disposal.
This is NOT your parents action film. This is a film for the video game generation. A generation that I am proudly part of. Its a love letter for all the hardcore gamers, otaku, comic book lovers and fantasy lovers. Elements of Tolkien, Japanimation, kung fu and Euro zombies splatter are all mashed up together with dropdead gorgeous scantily clad women make this the movie event of the year!
