Marvel Universe

At the Montreal Comic Con we got the new Marvel Universe Kang action figure!

The character first appears in Avengers #8 (Sep. 1964), and was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby. Kang is one of my all time favourite Marvel character.

Here is the classic Marvel Secret Wars figure and the new one.

  1. I never read a comic with Kang in it before except for Secret Wars and the official Marvel universe page about him. He is Dr. Doom from another time supposedly. But then Doom shoots him in Secret Wars. Very confusing.

  3. I actually got that Secret Wars Kang figure when it first came out. I have some very vague memories of removing him from his card and almost losing his shield inserts.

That Aliens toyline was one of my favorites. They have a Saturday morning cartoon sort of feel to them, if that makes any sense.

    1. Welcome to our blog Chris!

As a kid I owned many Secret Wars figures but not Kang. I actually found this one for almost nothing at the flea market least year.

Love the Aliens collection!! Kenner made some great figures back then. I miss them. We need some of their Robocop line!!
