In Yo-kai Watch 2, the memories of the protagonists Nathan "Nate" Adams and Katie Forester are erased when the Yo-kai Watch itself taken away, leaving them with no recollection of their past adventures. However, s/he soon stumbles across the Yo-kai butler Whisper once again, and his/her adventures resume.
