Flea Market Hunting : Battlestar Galactica + Lego news

About time! We found another Battlestar Galactica action figure at the flea market... the Cyclon.

As a kid I loved that TV series and the Cyclons were so cool. The Cylons are a cybernetic civilization at war with the Twelve Colonies of humanity. Their superb unique look make them one of the coolest bad guys of the time.

And look at these upcoming 2013 Lego sets.

First of all is Arctic Batman vs. Mr.Freeze. This set comes with Aquaman! AQUAMAN! Yes!!!!!!!!

Another Spider-Man set based on the animated TV series. This one has Nick Fury and Venom! VENOM! Yes! Yes!

Finally here's all of the upcoming Lego Star Wars sets, which apart from the Rancor sets aren't that interesting.

Marvel Universe and Power Lords

Another Marvel Universe action figure we got was Multiple Man. Its a cool figure for a character we weren't familiar with. Not surprisingly now Isaac wants more Multiple Man!!

James Arthur "Jamie" Madrox, also called the Multiple Man, is associated with the X-Men. Created by writer Len Wein with script from Chris Claremont and art by John Buscema, he first appeared in Giant-Size Fantastic Four #4 (February 1975). A mutant with the ability to create instant duplicates or "dupes" of himself.

One of the coolest action figures collection of the 1980s is coming back… Power Lords! Sadly there aren't that many informations available yet but it looks like we will learn more on December 21st, 2012.

The original figures were based on designs by Wayne Barlowe, the famous sf/fantasy artist and designer whose work was the basis for the Power Lords. While the toy line wasn’t successful, it managed to have a two waves of toys, a three-issue miniseries from DC Comics, a videogame for the Odyssey system, a board game and a coloring book. They were produced by Revell, a company mostly known for model kits; these was one of their first and only ventures into toy-making.

Here's a look at the classic original series!

Marvel Universe and Man of Steel commercials

Lucky us we found some brand new Marvel Universe 3.75" action figures for real cheap!

First is Absorbing Man. He is one of Hulk's enemies. He's a cool looking figure. We got the "normal" version, which is rarer then the other one.

The Absorbing Man (Carl "Crusher" Creel) is a fictional character that appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appears in Journey into Mystery #114 (Mar. 1965) and was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

Man of Steel spoilers! Look at these leaked commercials for action figures based on the highly anticipated upcoming film. Superman, Zod and a weird version of Black Zero!

Flea Market Hunting : Lego + TMNT Lego

We scored two Lego Toy Story mini figures that Isaac really wanted. Here they are in our Lego city... one of the "bad guys" from the third film, which sadly I don't know the name and the little cute alien.

Yesterday during the New York Comic Con, Lego made a huge splash with their first ever presence at the show. They announced tons of new Lego including the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! The collection is slated to launch in North America and the UK in January 2013 and will roll out in global markets later in the year.

Of course, Isaac and I will get them all! Cowabunga.

And this is the first set that will be out.

As with San Diego Comic Con, LEGO is giving away a couple exclusive minifigs, but only one will be available at the show. First up is the Dark Turtle, pictured above, from the newly announced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles license. He will be given away via raffle on Thursday starting at 4pm, and again on Friday and Saturday at 11am. The second figure, below, is the new Krang Android also from the TMNT line and switching things up a bit, he will be available on Saturday through the Rockefeller Center LEGO Store.

More TMNT Lego news soon!
