Sunday Special: Adventure People, Fisher Price, Pulp Fiction, Evel Knievel, Hellboy

Fisher Price's Adventure People collection remains of one my all time favourite. This guy, which we still own, was just so cool.

They actually made some Pulp Fiction doll figurines.

When I was a kid, you were either a fan of Bruce Lee or Evel Knievel.

A cool Hellboy figure.

Showcase

We recently moved and had to change our display location. We also took the opportunity to change, which action figures were displayed. Here's what new these days.

My all time favourite action figure!

As a kid my all time favourite action figure was... Clawtron!

This Fisher Price Adventure People figurine followed me everywhere. I actually renamed hum "Faucon" (Falcon). He was the best, more powerful character in all of my stories.

A few years ago I managed to find a sealed version of Clawtron on Ebay.

Favourite Retro Toys of 2013

Here's our Favourite Retro Toys of 2013!

1- Shogun Warriors
As a kid the Shogun Warriors were the toys I've always wanted... and never got any. But now in 2013, we managed to find two of them; Gaiking and the coolest of them all Grendizer! The Shogun Warriors were the central characters of a line of toys licensed by Mattel Inc. during the late 1970s that consisted of a series of imported Japanese robots based on the then popular anime shows featuring giant robots.

2- Aliens
We love Kenner's Aliens collection and this year we found lots and I mean lots of them! The highlight was the Aliens Queen Hive playset.

3- Adventure People
My All Time Great Action Figure is a Fisher Price Adventure People and in 2013 during a trip at the flea market we found it… Clawtron!

4- Masters of the Universe
We found lots of awesome original MOTU figures in 2013. Whiplash, Mer-Man, Tung Lashor, Hordak, Sy-Klone, Roboto, Battle Armor Skeletor, Leech, Rattlor, Two Bad and tons more!

5- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
One of our goals in 2013 was to find more of the original Playmates TMNT and we did. Sergeant Bananas, Ace Duck, Foot Soldier, April O'Neil and more.

Flea Market Hunting : Star Wars & Adventure People Star Wars

We got another Wookie!!! We love Wookies. Our Wookies army tribe is slowly growing. Sadly I'm not even aware of just how many were made... hence why we buy all the versions of Chewbacca we can find.

And here's something extremely cool! The original Adventure People Star Wars action figures. No we haven't find them (we wish!). According to Star Wars: 1,000 Collectibles: Memorabilia and Stories from a Galaxy Far, Far Away, a picture like this appeared in an early print ad for Kenner's French affiliate, Meccano. They obviously were concept mock-ups sculpted from Adventure People. No one knows if those prototypes still exist. The figures shown in the photo are actually reproduction "prototype" Star Wars figures crafted by master customizer Nick Macarty.

New York 2099

After years of wars, everyone was living happy together...

Fisher Price's Adventure People, Battlestar Galactica members, Dreadnoks, Plasticman, Thor, Beta Ray Bill, Hulk, his son Skaar, Iron Man, Wolverine, Ronin... everyone together making the New York of 2099 a better place.

Even two gigantic statues of past heroes were standing among them, Godzilla and Gaiking. Everything was a ok...

What did they not know what was Thanos was back... and found some new allies.

My All Time Great Action Figure!

During our last trip at the flea market I found my all time great action figure! This is the exact same action figure that I use to play all the time with as a kid. Introducing the Fisher Price Adventure People Clawtron!

For some reason I used to call him Faucon (Falcon in french). For me he was the coolest and strongest. He "appeared" in most of my stories. Always winning. Now our new Clawtron is about to live some newer exciting adventures!

A few years ago I found on Ebay a sealed one in its original card.

Flea Market Hunting : Fisher Price Adventure People + Lego Marvel

We also got the Male Hang Glider Pilot. There is also a blue version available but I have never seen it.

And here is the cover of the highly anticipated Lego Marvel Super Heroes video game! We will get it on the PS3 and Vita.

Flea Market Hunting : Fisher Price Adventure People + Lego Minecraft

The Fisher-Price Adventure People were made from around 1975-1985, with more than 30 sets and more than 70 different figures. I used to own lots of them as a kid. They were great!

Lucky us, we managed to find some through the years including some "new" ones during our last trip at the flea market. First is the Male Safari Son. Loved that kid figure back in the days.

More Lego Minecraft!

A couple of weeks ago, we reported that there going to be two expansion Minecraft sets coming out in the near future. Now we know that LEGO 21105 will be The Nether and LEGO 21106 will be The Village.

Flea Market Hunting : Adventure People

In 1975 Fisher-Price introduced a new line of toys that were designed for children to play with through and beyond preschool age, a time when children are excited by the idea of exploring and being adventurous. The Adventure Series sets came with finely detailed accessories and figures that have movable legs, arms and a movable head.

My favourite Adventure People playset was the TV Action Team van. This was a great vehicle that could hold almost all the various action figures such as Star Wars, G.I.Joe and others.

The original box featured a Blue van, 3 yellow cords, camera, silver movie camera, black microphone with carry case, 7 piece black and gray tower. Figures include Kirk - white suited man with headphones; Jeff - gray haired man brown pants white shirt; Carol - black woman red skirt!!

We manage to find the van at the flea market and just like me as a kid... Isaac loves it!

Flea Market Hunting: Fisher Price Adventure People

As a kid the Fisher Price Adventure People action figures and playsets were the coolest! My all tive favorite action figure is actually an Adventure People! Between 1975 and 1985, Fisher Price released more then 70 different figures and over 30 sets!

During our last trip at the flea market we found a bag with fourteen of them, all for just two bucks! For me the highlight are the two space pilots.
