Our Marvel Collection
Lots of awesome Marvel action figures in this shot!
We love the Guardians of the Galaxy. This Hasbro pack released sometime ago was extremely hard to find around here but we did get it last summer. Dr. Strange is another favourite.
You can also see Darkhawk, YellowJacket, War Machine and The Thing. Sadly we don't own any other Fantastic Four... yet.

Spider-Man & Friends
One of the very first superheroes collection I got for Isaac when he was about one was the Mega Bloks' Spider-Man & Friends.
These are extremely cool, well built and fun to play with. Now that he is older he doesn't play with them anymore but I wanted to kept them in our every growing collection. I think they are important and part of our "story".
Here is Isaac with the figures. I wish we would found all of them but hopefully someday we will.

Flea Market Hunting: Fantastic 4 Deluxe Roto 12" The Thing
Always loved 12" action figures! Been getting some for my son and I and much to my surprise while at the flea market we found a very cool 12" Deluxe Roto figure of The Thing from the Fantastic 4.
We got this highly detailed super-sized figure for only $7 (it goes for $55 on Amazon!). With 17 points of articulation, it was meant to kick butt! Having seen the two recent live action films, my son is a big fan of The Thing... I mean who wouldn't?! Just look at the guy! He's awesome!
While The Thing easily became friends with some of our other big figures like our 10" Wolverine Slashin' action figure things didn't go as well with our retro 15" Godzilla.

The Thing (Benjamin Jacob "Ben" Grimm) is a founding member of the superhero team known as the Fantastic Four in the Marvel Comics universe. He was created by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee in The Fantastic Four #1 (Nov. 1961). His trademark orange rocky appearance, sense of humor, blue eyes, and his famous battle cry, "It's clobberin' time!" makes him one of comics' most recognizable and popular characters.

Star Wars Power of the Force Action Figures
Another week, another Star Wars figure for my son. This time its Princess Leia Organa that came out on a red card in 1995 from Kenner. Armed with two pistols, Leia was at the time one of the very few female action figures from the Star Wars universe.
She was portrayed by actress Carrie Fisher in A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, and The Star Wars Holiday Special. She is one of the main protagonists of the original Star Wars trilogy. In Return of the Jedi, it is revealed that she is the twin sister of Luke Skywalker, and thus the daughter of Darth Vader. In the Star Wars prequel films, her mother is identified as Padmé Amidala. Her adoptive father is Bail Organa, the head of Alderaan's royal family and a supporting character in the prequels; in later Star Wars literature she marries Han Solo, her romantic interest in the original films.
My son also got one Fantastic Four coloring book and a Marvel stickers book. These are always a lot of fun!
