Mezco's Cinema of Fear Friday the 13th

I just realized that I have never posted anything about those...

A few years ago I got the Mezco's Cinema of Fear of Jason Vorhees. This very cool figure combines a highly detailed roto-molded 12 inch figure with full articulation and removable fabric jacket. Jason is even more menacing with his arsenal of twisted weapons and removeable hockey mask.

I remember seeing Friday the 13th in theatre... I was underage but sneaked in. Now Isaac loves Jason and most horror icons.

Here is a photo of Jason unmasked! He also comes with various weapons and a severed head!

Lego Ninjago

Beside the Lego Super Heroes, Isaac's favourite Lego collection is probably Ninjago. He loves the toys and the tv series, which he watches almost religiously multiple times! He wanted to show his collection of what he has so far. The Fire Temple being the proudest item out of it.

Its Showtime!

I recently decided to showcase some of our action figures collection in our living room.

Everything from Star Wars, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Hulk, Adventure People, Dungeons And Dragons, Grendizer, Ghostbusters, Toxic Crusaders, Chuck Norris, Thundercats, Masters of the Universe, Gremlins and other hard to find figures found a new home where they are now all proudly displayed.

Lego!

The coolest thing about all of the Lego series is that they can just all blend together. Tonight the Lego Batcave got invaded by the Alien Conquest beings. Those monstrous yet cute looking Lego mini figures bad guys were joined by Lex Luthor.

Thankfully the Space Police came in to the rescue of our DC friends.

Thank you Ralph McQuarrie....

I told Isaac about the passing of Ralph McQuarrie Sunday morning and he was sad... sad that the person who created all the visuals of the original Star Wars films passed away.

I told him that his art will live through films and the fans keeping them alive! I told him that he surely lived a good life, spend times with his kids and the kids of his kids.

Isaac is now the very same age that I was when Star Wars came out.  He might be only five but what an incredible little person Isaac is.

In 1975, Georger Lucas commissioned McQuarrie to illustrate several scenes from the script of the film, Star Wars. McQuarrie designed many of the film's characters, including Darth Vader, Chewbacca, R2-D2 and C-3PO and drew many concepts for the film's sets. It was McQuarrie who suggested that Vader wear breathing apparatus. McQuarrie's concept paintings, including such scenes as R2-D2 and C-3PO arriving on Tatooine, helped convince 20th Century Fox to fund Star Wars, which became a huge success upon release in 1977.

A friend at work mentioned to me that he was doing a Google image search of Ralph McQuarrie and came upon images of Isaac with Star Wars figures within the first few pages!

Godzilla!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know we've talked about them before but here's a closer look at our Godzilla collection! First on the left is our 15" Godzilla. This huge figure was originally released by Dormei in 1997. We got him during our first summer at the flea market for only $7.

Next to him is the 11" extremely detailed Bandai version! Its smaller but almost as cool! Then there is Mecha Godzilla, also from Bandai. This is a superb version of one of the Big-G biggest foes. Finally on the far right is the 12" of Gigan! Wow! Now thats a great looking monster!!!

Oh! And lets now forget King Kong!!! A great, heavy and simply too cool figure from McFarlane based on the Peter Jackson remake.

Hopefully more will join our ever growing collection including the Shogun Warrior Godzilla of the late 1970s.

Lego

Here is Isaac's brand new Lego sneakers!

These are actually his second pair since the previous one are "beaten" already. My little man is growing up so fast!!!

Lego Space Police

While shopping for books and magazines, Isaac noticed that the store had some Lego and most importantly one set that is now impossible to find around here. Yes, Isaac managed to find the Lego Space Police Smash 'N' Grab (#5982).

This very cool set contains 188 pieces and comes with two mini figures. We really love the design of the spaceship.

Lego Minifigures Series 6

Another Lego Mini figures we got from series 6 was the Statue of Liberty! This is one that Isaac really wanted!!

The new Lego Minifigures Series 6 are finally available here and we got a few!

After spending way too much time touching those small mystery bags we ended up with three mini figures;  a classic Alien and two Minotaur. Isaac and I were extremely happy with our find, even with the two Minotaur since you can never have enough of those.
