Favourite New Toys of 2016

Here's our Favourite New Toys of 2016!

1- Pokémon - Tomy
This year we got so many Pokémon action figures its almost insane! Isaac's collection is now HUGE and there are more coming soon. This year I've ordered many directly from Japan since they were not available in North America.

2- WWE - Mattel
We got more WWE action figures from Mattel. Surprisingly, so many were released this year that it was hard to keep up.

3- UFO Robot Grendizer - H.L. Product
For years I've been wanting to buy this... it is finally ours. Sadly only took one photo of it for our blog but I shall soon feature it.

4- Funko Pop!
This year Isaac really got into the whole Funko Pop! figurines. He spend most of his personal money on Funko Pop! So many cool ones to get.

5- Lego
As expected we got some very cool Lego sets including the one with Marvel's Ghost Riders, more Minecraft and others.

Lego Spider-Man: Ghost Rider Team-up

What a cool Lego set! We didn't even know that it was coming out when we first saw it in stores. The Spider-Man: Ghost Rider Team-up (#76058) includes 217 bricks including three mini figures; SPider-Man, Hobgoblin and most incredible of all... Ghost Rider!

The bike is ultra cool and as expected the mini figures are awesome!

Pokémon Go!

We went to the Old Port of Montreal to catch some Pokémon!

WWE Zombies Undertaker!

Look at this! Just how cool it is. The Undertaker as a zombie. Isaac loves it.

Mattel's WWE

One of our favourite collection of the past years have been Mattel's amazing WWE action figures. While most of them are rather hard to find in stores, we managed to get some online or even at the flea market.

Funko Pop! Hulk Hogan

About time! This is Isaac's very first Funko Pop! wrestler so I had to get him the best, Hulk Hogan!

Les Legendaires

Isaac's loves reading and since last year he's been addicted to Les Legendaires comics. This is a cool universe with tons of colourful characters. It was created by Patrick Sobral.

Minecraft

Time for some Minecraft on the computer!

We've been playing Minecraft for over 5 years now, on various hardware and probably over a thousand hours of gameplay.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire's ultimate weapon of destruction.

A solid entry in a galaxy far, far way. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.

The film goes deep into the Star Wars mythology. The Kyber crystal was originally included in early drafts of the Star Wars story, but later eliminated by George Lucas in favour of making the Force a more ethereal power. It was the MacGuffin (plot device in the form of some goal, desired object, or other motivator that the protagonist pursues, often with little or no narrative explanation) in the Star Wars novel Splinter of the Mind's Eye, which itself was written to be filmed as a low-budget sequel to Star Wars if the original film was not a success.

For diehard fans like myself, the ultimate moment was when we finally got to see Darth Vader’s castle on the big screen. First introduced in early drafts of the original film, conceptual arts from Ralph McQuarrie had us dreaming of seeing this one day. There were also tons of cool cameos. Overall a worthy experience.

Pokémon Mega Charizard X

After months of hunting, I finally managed to find a Pokémon Mega Charizard X figurine. This one is about 7 inches tall and has 9 points of articulations. Very cool!

Lego Summer Camp

During Isaac's second week at the Lego Summer Camp, he built many thing including this base and starship!

Pokémon Mewtwo!

Also I managed to find the just released Tomy version of Mewtwo! Created by genetic manipulation. However, even though the scientific power of humans created this Pokémon's body, they failed to endow Mewtwo with a compassionate heart.

This is another ultra cool action figure for one of Pokémon's most powerful character.

Pokémon Greninja!

For weeks I have been searching for this action figure... finally found it. Pokémon Greninja! This is part of the new Tomy series. Fully articulated and looking very cool. Isaac loves it.

Lego Dimensions

Time to build our new Lego Dimensions sets to play on PS4!

Sunday Special: Batman, Funko, Disney, Star Wars

Batman The Animated Series brought some cool toys.

Years ago Funko released this very cool Batman Robot!

A few years ago we went to Disney and scored some Star Wars Disney figures.

Been trying to find this Clubber Lang Funko Pop!

Star Wars Grand Admiral Thrawn was first introduced in the novels. Now he is part of the Rebels TV series. Hopefully and official Lego version will come out.

Those customs action figures are insane! Would love to own them all!
