Batman

While at the Legends store, we got some new Batman villains!

We already owned Scarecrow but the 3 3/4" figure wasn't that good looking. This new blood variant Batman Begins inspired figure is more like it! This is one scary looking 6" dude that comes with a watergun and action arm. This was part of the Batman Begins Movie Series collection.

We also got a cool new Clayface figure! This one from The Batman TV series.

And finally we got our very first Killer Croc figure! This one was released in 1994 by Kenner as part of the Batman The Animated Series collection. It comes with a small crocodile pet and features power-punch arm!

Star Wars

While at the Legends action figures store we didn't really have a choice but to pick-up some Star Wars figures.

Like I've said before, we are trying to get as much creatures/monsters as possible. Lucky us, we got two from the classic cantina scene from the original 1977 Star Wars. Unfortunately, I have no clue what is the name of that demonic character or that small creature.

We also got Prune Face, which for some reason as a kid I always though he was somekind of Jedi. And finally we got Zam Wesell bounty hunter, a shapeshifting bounty hunter from Attack of the Clones.

Spider-Man

Believe it or not but Isaac and I didn't owned an articulated red and blue Spider-Man action figure! We had him in that black suit and one red and blue figure that doesn't really move... so we had to take care of that "problem".

Lucky for us we decided to go to our local action figures store, Legends. We got a Toy Biz 2006 Spider-Man figure loosely based on the Sam Raimi film Spider-Man 3.

While we were there we also got a very cool 6" Vulture figure released by Toy Biz in 1998. This was surprisingly also our very first figure of that (in)famous bad guy!

Welcome AGAIN plastic lovers!

Wow!
A year already!!!!

My son and I are addicted. We spend most of our time either hunting, buying or playing with action figures.

We would like to thank everyone who takes the time and read our blog dedicated to these Fully Jointed Play Figures. Hope you'll have just as much fun as the both of us in the years to come! Enjoy.

Batman

As you probably all know, my son and I love Batman. Last night we watched the classic 1966 film with Adam West. Last week, we took out all of our Batman universe action figures for one big adventure!

As you can see, Batman along with his friends; Batgirl, Robin, Azrael, and Nightwing were patiently waiting in the Batcave.

This is one of the two Batcave we found last summer at the flea market! Toy Biz, Kenner and Fisher Price vehicles were placed behind the Batcave.

As for the bad guys, they had taken control over the Hall of Justice. Some of them were planning some evil deeds...

while others were there more for security and to protect a secret element unknown even to Batman.

Lego

Here's a quick look at three very cool new Lego spaceships we constructed. Each are colored themed to a certain Lego collection. They all have their rather unique look and feel. Needless to say that we are very proud of them!

Lego Star Wars

As you might have noticed in yesterday's post, Isaac and I started to build our own little Death Star. We recently completed the Emperor's room. The evil Sith lord sits on his throne (that moves). He has a special place for his lightsaber. He's on the top level so there are stairs to get to him but two Imperial Guards are there "protecting" him. His surrounding is protected by red steel. Slowly we are building what should be a huge unique Lego playset!

Lego Star Wars

For Christmas, Isaac received a very cool Lego Star Wars Snowtrooper Battle pack set. It comes with four action figures for a total of 74 pieces.

We took the liberty of using some of our spare Lego blocks and make the battle base a little bigger. As you can see we added a second floor, a place for the Snowtrooper to look for coming Rebels attacks, stairs and a reactor.

Marvel vending machine capsule toys

For his birthday my son got these amazingly cool Marvel vending machine capsule toys from "Uncle" David. These figures are rather hard to find... but mostly impossible to get all six! They are sold in those classic capsule vending machines.

Of course, Uncle David went through a lot to get all six! So now Isaac owns Wolverine, Thor, Hulk, Capt. America, Spider-Man and Iron Man! They proudly stand on his bedside table.

Made by Chibi, these are well designed and are some of the coolest. You pull the head apart and then reassemble them back together again as a figure.

Happy Meal: Bakugan

I know that by now it sounds as if my son and I are always eating at McDonald's but we don't. Anyway, after checking out the Happy Meal web site we noticed that new toys were in, Bakugan! So I guess we had no other choice then to go again...

The one Isaac wanted and got is one strong Bakugan brawler, ranking at 900G! This one is gonna destroy everyone else!

Star Wars

The last Star Wars action figure we got from our trip at Legends was the bounty hunter Cad Bane.

Introduced in the Clone Wars animated TV series, under Darth Sidious's employ, Bane stole a Jedi holocron from the Jedi Temple to unlock the Kyber memory crystal, a repository of all recorded Force-sensitive infants in the galaxy. Bane is one of the most notorious bounty hunter of the entire Star Wars universe.

Star Wars

Another Star Wars action figure we got from our trip to the Legends toys store was Bib Fortuna. For years Bib Fortuna (a Twi'lek creature) was serving Jabba the Hutt. He's a cool looking creepy character from the Return of the Jedi film.

Star Wars

Isaac and I decided to go to our local toys store Legends and get some new Star Wars action figures. We were looking for some specific ones and we managed to find Jabba the Hutt's dancer Oola and Salacious Crumb. These are two action figures we've been trying to find!

Salacious B. Crumb was the favored jester in the court of Jabba the Hutt. The beak-nosed pot-bellied miscreant had a habit of breaking into a nerve-wracking cackle whenever the mood struck his flighty little brain. The creature had a knack for mimicry, and would pester many by constantly repeating what was said to him.

Oola, the beautiful green-skinned dancer, was enslaved to the disgusting crime lord, Jabba the Hutt. While she was one of several dancers, including Yarna D'al Gargan, Rystáll, Lyn Me and Greeata, only Oola was given the "privilege" of being chained to Jabba's throne.

Jabba delighted in watching the young Oola dance to the music of the Max Rebo Band. When Jabba wanted more than dance, however, Oola refused. Angered with his rebellious slave, Jabba opened the trap-door beneath the dance floor, and fed Oola to his deadly rancor creature.

Lego

My son and I absolutely love Lego! Created in Denmark in 1949 by Ole Kirk Christiansen, the Lego Group have released probably trillions of these little colorful interlocking plastic bricks that have helped building the imagination of kids and adults around the world.

A co-worker has giving me a box full of Lego! It used to the owned by her daughter. Needless to say that Isaac was extremely happy when he saw them. Now we might actually be able to build that Star Wars Death Star we are working on!

Favourite Toys of 2010

Favourite New Toys of 2010

1- Star Wars Imperial AT AT Walker
Seriously there was no cooler toys released this year then the amazing Imperial AT AT Walker from Hasbro. Standing over 2 feet tall, with lots of cool features this is the ultimate!

2- Lego Star Wars action figures
Isaac and I love Legos. And while most are rather too expensive their Star Wars collection is great! What's even cooler was that we managed to find lots of figures used for almost nothing!

3- Tron Legacy 7.5" action figures
We both loved the film, and those Spin Masters figures are wicked cool! They illuminates, have cool weapons and the Sam Flynn figure even talks!

4- Fisher Price Imaginext Batman
Always loved Fisher Price and their Imaginext collection of Batman is a favorite of ours! Some great news figures, vehicles and playsets were released and more coming out soon like Killer Croc, The Flash and more!

5- Ben 10 action figures 3 3/4"
Probably our favorite TV shows for the past two years, the new series brought some colorful new alien characters to the gang.

Favourite Retro Toys of 2010

1- Vintage 12" Kenner Star Wars
Finding these on Ebay for almost nothing was seriously one of the highlight of 2010 for me! Always wanted them but never did... now 33 years later I managed to score four from Ebay for almost nothing. I think that I enjoyed this more then Isaac even did!

2- Vintage Kenner Star Wars
I owned so many of these as a kid (still do but its a secret!). Finding them again on Ebay, ToyCon and flea market was a great experience to relive with Isaac. We got tons of them but the original Boba Fett and Rancor are possibly our favorites.

3- Star Wars Power of the Force
Through most of the year I gave my son the 1990's Kenner figures that I still had sealed. It was cool to have him every week wondering who will be first. This was also what initiated his love and knowledge for Star Wars.

4- Batman
The beauty of the Internet is that now you can find stuff not available in stores anymore. Isaac and I love Batman, and through 2010 we got tons of awesome Batman figures from various collections released through the years. Our collection is nicely building itself!

5- Star Wars Playskool Jedi Force
Isaac was just born when Playskool released these but with the wonder of Ebay and the flea markets we were able to find lots of them for cheap!

Happy Meal: Transformers

Here's the other Transformers Prime figure we got a McDonald's as part of their recent Happy Meal collection. He's an Autobots but with a very angry face.

And here they are fighting, looks like the good guys are winning!

Happy Meal: Transformers

McDonald's recently had Transformers Prime figures with their Happy Meal. The one we got was an Decepticons. Unfortunately I can't tell who he is as they all look the same now (thank you Michael Bay!).
